I like this week’s theme.
Facial expressions fascinate me. They have the power to make me cry with laughter or just frighten me. You can say 1,000 words with one expression, it saves having to talk sometimes.
I find it hard to control my facial expressions, especially when someone does something ridiculous (be it in a funny way or a just plain stupid way). You can’t help but tell what I’m thinking just by looking at me. I even have a “don’t even think about sitting next to me” face that I pull if I’m ever on the train. It’s not that I’m anti-social (well, maybe a little), it’s just some people you don’t want to sit next to you. I have to say though, it does work. I’ve perfected it over the years. I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
This photo was taken by @JA_PhotoUK last year on a picnic. He doesn’t blog, so I’ve decided to submit it for him (with his permission). Grace was pulling faces to make me laugh, and he caught the picture at exactly the right time. I think it is a happy photo and I like to look at it. It isn’t staged or false.

It’s gorgeous! A really happy photo – the sort I always want to capture myself, but never manage. The moment is always gone so quickly.
